SeaWorld San Diego is a Southern California icon that mixes family-friendly thrill rides, marine wildlife exhibits, and a strong focus on ocean conservation and education. Set along Mission Bay, this park offers scenic coastal views, world-class animal shows, and a growing collection of adrenaline rides — all in one of San Diego’s most popular attractions.

History & Background

SeaWorld San Diego opened in 1964 as the original SeaWorld park and has long been a leader in marine life education and rescue. For decades, it was known primarily for its orca shows and aquariums, but the last 15 years have brought major additions including coasters, interactive habitats, and updated educational programming. It remains the only SeaWorld park located directly on the Pacific coast.

Ticket Prices & Packages

Standard one-day admission typically ranges from $65 to $90, with frequent online discounts. Annual passes and Fun Cards offer unlimited entry with parking and food discounts. The park also offers Quick Queue skip-the-line options for popular rides.
