Disney's Animal Kingdom

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a one-of-a-kind theme park located in Orlando, Florida at Walt Disney World Resort. It’s a place where thrilling attractions meet lush environments, live animals, and immersive storytelling. From the floating mountains of Pandora to a real-life African safari, this park blends theme park fun with conservation and education.
History & Background
Animal Kingdom opened on Earth Day in 1998, emphasizing Disney’s commitment to wildlife and the natural world. At its core is the Tree of Life, a massive sculpted baobab tree that serves as the park’s icon. Over the years, the park has grown to include high-tech rides like Expedition Everest and the critically acclaimed Pandora – The World of Avatar, making it both an educational and exhilarating experience.
Ticket Prices & Packages
Single-day tickets typically range from $109 to $159, depending on demand and season. Multi-day and Park Hopper passes are available for guests visiting multiple Disney parks. Genie+ is offered for quicker access to select rides and experiences. Reservations are currently required for park entry.
Opening Hours & Best Time to Visit
Animal Kingdom generally opens at 8:00 AM and closes earlier than other Disney parks, around 7:00 or 8:00 PM. Visiting early is recommended to take advantage of cooler weather and active animals during the safari.
The best times to visit are in late January, February, early May, and mid-September, when crowds are thinner. Avoid holiday weeks and spring break if possible.
