Volcano Bay
Universal’s Volcano Bay is a next-generation water theme park built around the towering Krakatau volcano, glowing waterfalls, and sandy beaches. It blends lush Polynesian-inspired environments with an impressive lineup of water coasters, raft rides, drop slides, and tranquil rivers. Its signature innovation, the TapuTapu wearable, replaces traditional lines with a seamless virtual queue system.
Volcano Bay is often considered one of the most immersive and technologically advanced water parks in the world.

History & Background
Volcano Bay opened in 2017 as Universal Orlando’s third gate, replacing the former Wet ’n Wild water park. Designed as a “water theme park,” it goes beyond traditional slide complexes with integrated storytelling, environmental lighting effects, and a central 200-foot volcano that dominates the skyline.
The park’s development focused heavily on guest flow, theming, and technology. TapuTapu devices allow guests to reserve their place in a virtual queue, activate interactive features around the park, and even control water effects.
Ticket Prices & Packages
Volcano Bay uses date-based ticket pricing similar to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Options include:

2- and 3-park multi-day tickets
