Operating season: March–January (seasonal)

Set along Spain’s sunny Costa Dorada, PortAventura World is Southern Europe’s leading theme park resort — a massive entertainment complex that includes three theme parks, six hotels, and a Mediterranean beach vibe. Known for its blend of world cultures, adrenaline rides, and family attractions, it offers both high-octane thrills and relaxed coastal charm.

History & Background

Opened in 1995 as Port Aventura, the park was Spain’s first large-scale theme destination. Over time, it expanded into a full resort, adding Caribe Aquatic Park in 2002 and Ferrari Land in 2017. Ownership has changed hands multiple times, but major investments have kept it among Europe’s most visited parks.

Themed zones represent regions of the world — Mediterrània, Polynesia, China, Mexico, Far West, and Sesame Street — each with architecture, music, and cuisine inspired by its culture.
