Lagoon

Lagoon Lagoon Lagoon Lagoon
Operating season: March to October (select holiday events)

Lagoon, located in Farmington, Utah, just north of Salt Lake City, is one of the oldest and most unique amusement parks in the United States. It’s known for its blend of historic charm, intense thrill rides, and a self-built coaster collection, including the infamous Cannibal — one of the steepest coasters in the world.

History & Background

Lagoon’s roots date back to 1886, making it one of the longest-operating amusement parks in the country. Originally a bathing resort on the Great Salt Lake, the park moved to its current location in 1896. Still family-owned and independently operated, Lagoon is famous for building most of its rides in-house and maintaining a nostalgic, slightly offbeat vibe that sets it apart from major chains.

Lagoon uses Passport Pricing, which includes unlimited ride access:

  • Regular Day Pass: ~$97.95 (ages 12–64)

  • Youth & Senior: ~$87.95
