Operating season: April to January

Sesame Place, located in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, is the only theme park in the U.S. based entirely on Sesame Street. With a perfect mix of gentle rides, interactive shows, splash areas, and meet-and-greets, it’s designed specifically for families with young children, especially those in the 2–7 age range.

History & Background

The park opened in 1980 as a joint project with the Children’s Television Workshop and has since evolved into a full-fledged theme and water park. Operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Sesame Place became a certified autism center in 2018 and continues to expand its offerings to be inclusive, educational, and fun for all ages.

A second Sesame Place opened in 2022 in San Diego, but this original location remains the flagship.
